Hamburg, April 25th, 2022 - As part of its ongoing effort to drive sustainable investing across the platform, Digital Transformation Capital Partners (DTCP) today announced that it has signed the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
The PRI is recognized as the leading global network for investors who are committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into their investment practices and ownership policies. Launched in New York in 2006, the PRI works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of more than 4,300 signatories with over US $121 trillion of assets under management
“We believe in affordable and ubiquitous connectivity powering a diverse, equal and carbon-neutral digital society. DTCP’s proactive engagement on sustainability and social responsibility in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) leads to higher valuations and better investment outcomes for our investors and stakeholders. Becoming a signatory of the PRI, the leading advocate worldwide for responsible investing, further emphasizes our commitment to incorporating ESG considerations into our investment analysis and decision-making processes.”, said Vicente Vento, co-founder and CEO at DTCP.
In order to become better aligned with the PRI guidelines, DTCP has committed to undertake a series of steps in 2022. Under the lead of Jan-Michael Dierkes, DTCPs General Manager Luxembourg and Head of ESG, the company has already implemented a Sustainability Framework, which is structured around the six principles of the PRI. These include developing global sustainable investing guidelines, which describe the firm’s general approach to ESG matters, followed by a consideration of how these are integrated into its investment decision-making.
David Atkin, CEO at the Principles for Responsible Investment, comments: “We’re pleased welcome DTCP as a signatory to the PRI and look forward to supporting the organisation across its responsible investment initiatives. Ongoing commitment to delivering the aims of the UN Sustainable Development Goals is hugely important for responsible investors, and we look forward to working alongside DTCP in support of these goals.”
